Huh? Yeah, that’s a HP TouchPad 9.7” 32GB Tablet with Wi-Fi. It also happens to be the biggest, most expensive and useful paperweight I own. Why do you ask?

I know we’ve got boxes of company-branded trinkets we can use to decorate our desks, but I find the size of the HP TouchPad holds down a standard-sized piece of paper pretty well. The 9.7-inch diagonal, LED-backlit, glossy multitouch display is a lot prettier to look at, too, don’t you think? I can even put my to-do list concerning these files right there on the screen. Plus, if I need to contact someone involved in the various projects it lies on top of, I can do it right from the HP TouchPad whether I’m using email, Facebook, Twitter, or video calling with the integrated webcam and digital microphone. I can keep any photos, videos, or audio pertinent to the files on the 32GB internal memory, as well. I like to think of it as a “next level” paperweight, really.

You know, I’ve heard people talk about “open sources” and “androids” and whatnot, but I don’t really keep up with that stuff. All I wanted was something could help organize my desk files and also be the most expensive thing I’ve ever charged to the company credit card. Heck yeah I put it on the expense account! You don’t think I’d use my own money buying one of these, do you?
